Question Ipod Compatible Head Unit - suggestions please

Hello,

I’m looking at upgrading my Sony head unit to one that is Ipod compatible.

I’m currently running a CDX-M9900 and it’s blue display compliments the overall display of the ZTT. It’s a great head unit and I wouldn’t be replacing it if it wasn’t for lack of ipod connectivity.

I have tried a connects2 adapter using the multichanger plug but this does not work properly hence the search for a new head unit.

I’d prefer a Sony HU as I have the steering wheel control adapter already but am interested in the Alpine IDA X100.

Whatever I choose must compliment the blue display of the ZTT.

Any suggestions from folks based on their installations would be welcome.

I’m looking at a budget of £200 tops.

Many thanks

Andy

The only experience I have is with the Alpine IDA-X001, now superseded by IDA-X305 it seems. Worked great really. The X305 seem to be closer to £300 but there are lower priced units but they lack the nice TFT display.
