Default are tyre protectors needed on all models

hi reason for asking I checked my car and the brothers (03 & 04 ZTT) and both have no fixing holes for them to be fitted, so wondering if it was only specific years that needed them ?
Thanks

Sometimes the holes end up full of crud and hard to find. Give the area a good wire brushing and they may appear!

My 04 reg 75 recently broke a front spring, so yes I would consider them necessary.

I thought the mounting holes were missing on first glance, but upon closer inspection they were there but full of road gunk.

Thanks all, don’t laugh but I thought the holes were on the shock not the spring cup holder, will have a look later

Are the protectors still necessary on the ZT's, I was told the ZT has thicker springs and don't suffer the same problem?

All models should have holes. Mine were very hard to find due to rust and dirt.

According to the DVSA official recall, affected cars were 1999 to 2002 but given a broken spring will deflate the tyre and the appalling road conditions I would fit them to all
