Default To steel seal or not to steel seal

Just putting it out there.
Would it be a good idea or a bad idea to add steel seal to a cooling system that doesn't have head gasket failure so that it could start working straight away if a failure started to develop.
I accept I might not fully understand how this product works.

Thanks in advance for your comments
Peter
