Default Hi Line Sat Nav Display Issues

Switch on my car yesterday morning and the screen for the sat nav didn't come on. The radio and CD worked fine and restarting the car rectified the blank screen. Put it to gremlins and drove off. Anyways again last night about 11ish it happened again but wouldn't right itself when restarted. When I got to my friends I restarted and the screen came on but it was very pixilated and no colour. The option for the TV was there but not the sat nav.

I've read a couple of threads suggesting cold weather does this and its a common issue, but it has worked fine through the snow and ice so last night was not cold in comparison. Checked the backlight, works fine, so was wondering if it could be a fault on the TV module as this is the graphics controller or on the sat nav as this disappeared, or just the weather! If there was a fault I would suspect the TV module am I thinking correct?

Thanks in advance!

TV Module does sound likely but before changing check that all the Interconnecting leads are fully home and no damp coming in anywhere. Also take out sat nav disc shut down and then reboot load disc to see if that clears the Sat Nav issues.
I'm sure Keith and others will be along soon with more advice, I hope there is an easy answer for your problems.

Just been out in the car and it seems fine now! Grrr! Maybe it is the weather! I'll go check for damp!

No damp in the boot, maybe its the weather! If it breaks at least I have a good reason to upgrade to a widescreen!
