Talking Speaker Mounts

Wow!

Thank you, I must say right now, I am really impressed with the quality of the responses. 6 hours!!! why do I know that you meant it would take YOU 6 hours, you obvoiusly dont know me!!!

But I really want to improve the quality, so I accept your approach and method.

I must have a go. I cannot live with the poor sound quality.

On a further note, I do not suppose you thought of exchanging the Alpine 6 disc for an Ipod Docking unit as I previously posted?

It would make life so much easier, no more changing CD's all that music choice and have you heard those little demons in the vehicle!!!!!

OK, I know I have to walk first!!!

Sorry, being a Hi-Fi purist I only use MP3 when sat on a plane, even though my head unit will play MP3's. (I am a bit of a Hi-Fi snob.....and old skool)

I did change the Kenwood Multiplay for Pioneer unit to match the head unit. Not sure where you are based but you are welcoem to have a listen to see if it's worth the trouble.

Here is an email from someone else who took my advice:-

"Hi Rich..
Well I have finally done both front and rear doors.
I am particularly happy with the front door MDF work but it took NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- ages..Most of Saturday in fact!
As you suggested it was very worth while taking trouble to install the rear tweeters..
Also as you stated on your post there is absolutely plenty of Bass..I agree totally that there is no point in a subwoofer or extra amplification.
The sound is rich and full bodied yet there is the nice subtlety created by the tweeters..
All in all I am glad I took the trouble to install the speakers and the head unit.
I have attached a couple of photos for you.
Regards,
Simon Speed"
