Cool zt sub woofer

hiya

I have zt cdt+ with standard kenwood and glove box mounted cd changer. Am I correct in saying there was a sub woofer and 2 extra speaker option for the parcel shelf? if so where can I get speakers etc.( or similar aftermarket) and is wiring likely to be there and where? thanks in advance nick

There was a Harmon Kardon speaker upgrade available as a factory fit option.

This gave 8 speakers (i think) plus a subwoofer in the rear parcelshelf. Several people have done this upgrade. Do a search for Harmon Kardon. I don't think the wiring will be in place & the sub does take up quite a bit of room in the boot.

there are also several people who don't think that this upgrade is worth the cost as similar better aftermarket speakers will do the job better. Its down to personal preference & how much you like your music.

Hope this helps.

My Contempory SE is fitted with the Harmon Kardon sub woofer and speaker pack........the sound is very dull and timid. I think the poor sound is due in part to the head unit which was an MGR head unit and is very poor. Looks like it was lifted out of a Marina way back in the 1970's!

I'm sure with a better head unit the HK's will come into play and sound rather better.
