Default Fleabay advice

I've got this item on fleabay, with 22 bids/£175 at the moment. One of the bidders (from the USA) has sent a fleabay message offering 600USD (£302) to end the auction early. I'm not sure what to do. What do we think folks?

I think your postage is very expensive

only joking, I suppose it depends how much the item is worth, how "RARE" it is , and how much you want for it- if the guy from the states is prepared to pay via one of your approved methods, and is offering what you want hen go for it- at the end of the day if the contract is acceptable to both parties- deal done, and if you dont let the auction end- you won't know whether it would have gone for silly money or not. Be very wary.
Ask the registered person a Question to confirm he sent the offer.
Insist on PayPal in advance etc.
If you do sell ensure you also use track-able delivery to Members registered PayPal address.

Not being rude but I find the cost of Parts in the States are so much cheaper than here anyway that is what made me suspicious.
Don't cancel Auction till PayPal in your hands.

It could go for silly money. Not many of these are available with that amount of software and the whole lot would have cost about £2k list price when new.

The American bloke is the top bidder at the moment - his name matches the disclosed bidder's name (which I can see as the seller).

Agree with John
What is your desperate bidders FB track record like and what method of payment is he offering.

I have done deals similar to this with no problems.
Maybe get his phone number & chat in person.
Scammers don't like this approach.

Probably a genuine offer then Simon, I didn't realise the original price was that much!! And with the dollar at the MO even dearer for him !
What is your gut feeling about the Guy?
