Default Saloon front strut to a tourer?

FIL is in need of a front strut for his diesel 75 tourer.
I have a spare set of struts from a diesel 75 saloon.
Will the saloon struts fit, with him reusing his tourer springs?
Or is it just a bad idea?

Having had a browse for tourer shocks on Rimmers, the “correct” shock for passengers side is RNB000410 (sticker code JT) is coming in at £92.26 plus delivery (£103).
This may be ok, if the drivers side is still original or has been replaced with the correct part in the past. Not sure of that.

Personally I’d change em both, but circa £200 may not appeal to the FIL.

Another thought, instead of reusing my 2nd Hand struts, I was going to suggest he consider using these Sachs struts, which correspond to RND105340 / RND105341 for a saloon with green purple/green white/ green blue spring colour codes.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F173328525057
At £50 a side delivered, they are more appealing than Rimmers, and both sides would be the same.

What to do....
You pays your money, you takes your chances....

But, regardless if they are not the exact original specced dampers, I’d appreciate if someone could advise if
A) they will physically fit, or
B) if they have used saloon dampers on a tourer before.

Thanks in advance.

THESE look the same, and not far from you, cheaper too, and no risk of getting an order cancelled because the seller hasnt considered the aditional costs to NI (which happens a lot for me ). I cannot comment on the items, but have bought from the seller before with no issues.

Thanks Alan, well spotted.
The FIL is gonna take a chance on a pair of them.
At least, if they fit, both sides will be the same.
The ad does state:
Brand: continental direct
Part no: GS3190FR / GS3191FL
But the picture shown on eBay ad is same as the Sachs shocks, and shows the Sachs part numbers.
They are possibly the same item.

Well, after all that....😖
The FIL rang his local auto parts, who told him they had struts for €80 a pair.
Of course, when he got there, it was €80 each, which he purchased...just because they were there in front of him.🙄.
So much for searching to get a good deal, 😤, but thanks CLF for your input.👍
Anyhow, He ended up with KYB 334962 shocks.
He has only replaced the passenger side at the moment, reusing the spring, from the old strut.
Glad to say it seems fine, so a result in the end I guess.
