Default What car would you have

Hi has anyone had the Skoda vrs or ever drove one or the Skoda fabia vrs and what do you think of them.

My zt in getting calipers done and wheel bearing it just
seems to be neverr ending pull out all the time which dose make me giggle at times how well built these car are I no it's wear and tear items.

Just cant justify 300 pound road tax now for an car 15 years old nearly too

The not fast at all now mpg are prity poor in this modern day life mine fast but I spent money to make it fast then what it was

Seriously if anyone wants to buy this cdti auto it's yours with open arms lol i going off them now for some reason I dunno PMT week I guess or something

More I look about for newer car more I am going off this zt

Remember to factor in depreciation. There's likely to be none on your ZT so long as it's in good order and MOT'd.

Spend £5k on an eight year old Fabia VRS and you will see depreciation, more wear and tear maintenance, higher insurance etc. Or buy a 2004 Fabia for £1,600 and be back to where you started with your ZT

OK, maybe better MPG....does make a difference perhaps £20-£40 per month if you're doing 10k+ a year and road tax could be a little cheaper.

Just saying, do all the sums before jumping from the fat into the fryer

.....If you really want to save money, just buy a Nissan Micra

The Skoda Fabia VRS are a rapid car but can leak water badly into the rear footwells and personally I find the interior a bit cheap and plasticky.

Look at your annual running cost of running a car not a single item like road tax or fuel consumption, depreciation on a lot of newer stuff is £50 a week but even if it was only £20 that goes a long way to running a bigger better older car with practically no depreciation.

Also, £5k that would be spent on a Fabia VRS will pay half the £300 VED on the current car if put in a 5 year or longer term bank account.

Stop being daft and keep your ZT, there can’t be a lot left to change on it!!!

The Fabia I've driven felt pretty cheap, although it was the more basic one than the VRS. Not meaning to go against the grain though, I did like the Octavia saloon. I had an MG ZS saloon at the time and felt a Octavia would be a good replacement if I couldn't get a decent MG-R. Luckily I found my ZT, so continue to fly the flag!

I've already told him that I didn't want his mongbox ZT

All the things that normally break, and some that don't have been changed, and I told him just to run it until it drops..............who on earth would want a Royal Blue ZT diesel auto, that goes like a bat out of hell, with a discreet Union Flag roof, and blue Alcantara anyway

Dave (Stocktake) had a Skoda VRS as a works car a few years back I am sure if he sees this he could give a good opinion on the car when he had it, or drop him a PM and ask.
