Coverting VDO stereo in 04 car to Symphony

Hi All,

I have got a lovely 04 Connoisseur (old shape) but it has got some God awful VDO stereo in it with a CD changer in the boot

I have bought Alex's old Symphony HU but am wondering what I need to fit it and fit a CD changer to that

Anyone know if the harness is still present for an Alpine HU under the glovebox on 04 cars? And does anyone know if the fitted changer will work with the Symphony??? I am not going to assume that it is a VDO one just yet!

I will take it apart if necessary (the car that is) but if any knowledgeable sages know then at least I could buy the other bits before disassembling
