Default My MOT today

As my car is turning 4 shortly, it was booked in for an NCT (the Irish version of the MOT).

While my Black Beauty was being put through its paces in the NCT Centre this morning, I noticed the mechanic who was doing mine called one of his workmates over to my car and started pointing at something inside the car. "*****", I thought - somethings wrong. I couldn't really see (or hear) what they were discussing so I just had to sit patiently until it was finished, all the time thinking the worst.

Anyhoo, my car was eventually driven out and I was duly summonsed by the mechanic for the (bad) news.

"Thats some car you have" was his first remark. "Did it come with the sat nav system"? I explained it didn't and that it was an after market fitting. He had seen the "Rover" splash screen and assumed it was OEM. Then the chap he had called over to my car earlier came over to us and also admired my motor, particularly the DVD headrests. He made the common mistake in thinking I had fitted the DVD players to the headrests rather than replacing the originals.

The 3 of us spent a few minutes in the corner of the office discussing my car. They were hugely impressed with it. If they had more time, I would have given them a full tour but the place was kinda busy.

It passed the test with flying colours, BTW .

They most likey spend all day testing Mondeos and Vectras. A 75 is pure class and different from the normal run of the mill.

A 75 in tip top condition as your is will also create some interest. The 75 and the ZT imho are classics already and people are starting to notice.

There was a time when Triumph Stags were ten a penny as were E type Jags!!

When I took mine, the owner and the MOT tester were arguing on who was going to drive it out of the garage...
