Where can I purchase new Electric seat switches...
Dear all, I wonder if you can advise me.
I live in the Bournemouth area and want to purchase new electric seat switches for both the driver seat and the passenger seat. The later is the more urgent as this has broken and the back of the seat has gone into the forward and downward postition so noone can site on it!... I do not have the time to try and repair them as suggested in other areas of the site but want to know where is best and cheapest to buy new ones rather than get them from an online breakers as they are most probably broken too! I have a Rover 75 Connoisseur 1.8 SE manual (Petrol) and the drivers seat is the memory version. I have seen the parts online for £49 pounds each but that seems to expensive to me!Can anyone advise? Damn stupid design from what I can see... many thanks Brian aka Fanflame |

many of these switches have been broken mainly by passengers and by some drivers who are to heavy handed and maybe expecting manual adjustment rather than electric so give a good twist and tug on the switch.
Got mine from an ex mgr dealer last year cost around £33 each at the time

All switches still available new through XPart Parts dealers and Rimmers.
See attached PDF to see what you need. Not cheap though. All prices + VAT. |

Repair really isn't that hard.
Drill and tap for an M3 screw. Needs the head grinding off a bit, but not that hard. Maybe I should start doing them? Both mine have repaired switches on the passenger side. |
