I work in Newbury, and live near Reading and can lay my hands on just what you are after, Not now at work until Monday, would a piece of aluminium do the sizes you wanted ?.and if yes, how/when could you come for it ??:lol:

Neil, I am more than happy to pop over to Reading or Newbury to collect. Aluminum would be good as it is lighter.

75 V6 Saloon 2003 LPG MGZT V8 260 LPG

Well, I did find a powder coated steel plate 10in x 6in with a turned-up end to prevent rolling off. I'll stick it in the boot anyway. May come in handy to hold a chicken coop up.

this wont happen as you will be using axle stands wont you

also if you use a sheet of ply it crushes the top layers and will be fine as it wont go all the way through
