Boot locking, saloon.
I've only recently noticed that If I release the boot by using the key, then it is not possible to shut it again unless the key is turned in the lock when doing so. Is this is presumably to stop me locking the key in the boot? (I have done this once, in Eastern Europe about 30 years ago, Very embarrassing)
Funny that it's taken me over 2 years to notice! |

Me thinks you may have a sticky lock sir........ I usually open the boot and put the key in my pocket, and close it when I've finished.....

No, I don't think so. It always unlocks completely if released from inside the car. Perhaps is intelligent enough to know that I am someone who has once locked the key in the boot because I put it in my jacket pocket and then put the jacket...............!

I think you have a sticky boot lock.......when you use the interior release, by the time you've walked to the back it's unlocked. With mine, when I use the key, I have to wait a second or two for the solenoid to release.

Mine also has a slight solenoid delay when using the key to open. Sounds like a touch of the old WD40 or similar into the lock is required. mykl ____________ |
