I keep my 75 in a garage overnight, it takes about 6 minutes for the temp. gauge to get to normal, on a frosty morning..
When the car lived out on the drive the warm up time was 10 minutes,
So the garage makes a 40% improvment..
[if my maths are correct]

Ahhh Webasto Takes a couple of miles to warm up fully. Better still on a cold morning is to start it for 5 mins before you get in.

FBH stands for Fuel Burning Heater.
A small auxillary heater that was fitted to improve warm up times on earlier cars. It works at temperatures below 5 degrees C. It can be fitted with an optional timer and/or remote control that turns it into a parking heater so that it will warm the engine before getting in the car and starting the engine. It can also be set up to warm the interior and defrost the windscreen.

They can be retrofitted to later cars.

Tapped, the solution for cold conditions is to leave the diesel at home and use 4.6 litres of ford FBH

That certainly warms my wallet........

I hadn't realised that an FBH was fitted for the reason that is now obvious. i'd always assumed that it was more for pre warming and for use as a parking heater. It all makes sense now... TBH I haven't looked to see if mine has one but if it has, it certainly isn't working!

Not sure o/s heated mirror is working either or drivers h/seat, still by the time I fix them it'll be Spring time!
