Recommendations for sill repair NW England
Whilst the car was on the ramp in the garage this morning, I happened to notice faint rust stains have appeared on the rear of the n/s sill adjacent to the jacking point. A quick look didn't show any perforation of the sill, but it is obviously corroded so it'll need to be repaired, so does anyone have a recommendation for a good body shop / panel beater in the North West of England (Manchester area) who can cut out the corroded sill and fabricate and weld in a new repair section.
I know from posts on here that T.J. Hobbs Restoration in Nottingham does a good job (there's a picture on his website of a 75 sill repair) but I was wondering if there was anyone nearer to me, Steve

I’d say travel to see Tom, his work is as good as when it left the factory.

Tom did my Cowley car, and he will be doing my Contemporary at some point, as that is showing signs of the same issue.

That's a good price, does that include painting as well?

He did mine, but he doesn't have facilities to match other colours, mine were black, in which case I think he just does the prep and undercoat. You'd need to ask maxicrawlf to be sure as his was not a Cowley and he had it done, not sure what happened.
