Bulb Failure Light
As I mentioned in another thread I have just acquired a 75. Last night was the first time I drove it in the dark. As soon as I switched the lights on up came a warning light, the bulb failure warning light. I checked all round the car, as far as I can tell all the lights are working. I switched the lights off but the warning light remained on, switched the ignition off and back on again, up came the warning light! It comes on as soon as you turn on the ignition? Any clues?

Rear number plate lights or brake lights are main culprits

One of the favorites for this is that only one number plate lamp is working.

Now, the number plate light is a possibility. My father walked round the car today as I tried all the lighting options! At one point he said there was only one number plate light then said they were both working, which they are now. Wonder if there's a dodgy connection?

I only just brought a 75 as well. And when I got this error, when I turned off the ignition It told me exactly what bulb had failed.

He must have the High Line Instrument Pack, which displays a pictogram showing which bulb has gone, sadly the Low Line IPK just makes do with a 'Bulb' symbol.

Been round the car again, changed the number plate & brake light bulbs just in case, still got the warning light.
Bit wary about the "disconnect battery for 30 mins idea" I have seen elsewhere in the forum. I have the radio code but not the audio handbook. I know the code but not how to enter it! |
