Engine wiring loom/harness to ABS
Hello. Does anyone have an engine loom lying around in their parts bin please? I specifically (only) need the connector to the ABS unit but happy to take a whole loom. Cash for wires! Thank you. James

The photo below will help people know what you are talking about. 1 The above connects to the ABS unit. 2 What problem are you having are the pins corroded or bent ? also are they the same on every car, i know the ABS units are different on the cars.

Thanks, Steve. The photo in the next post shows the problem. What you might describe as a ‘mini fire’…. As far as I can tell, the connectors are all the same (except the traction control units).

Only difference is the V8 has 2 pins that are in different locations, plug itself is the same across all .

looks like it's shorted out, or has battery acid got onto the plug connector, i will have a look in the shed in the Nano boxes, but don't remember ever seeing one.

That looks perfect, Roy. I've bought a brand new ABS unit from Rimmers so it's just the harness I need. Would you be willing to part with it for some shekels please?

Yeah, I've got no idea how it's happened. I replaced the ABS sensor but it just failed again immediately so I dug further into the engine bay and eventually found this. It's an ugly old thing to have happened...

I had a look through the boxes, sorry but i see Roy has found one which will do the job for you, somehow it's got contaminated either with battery acid, maybe diesel fuel in you have the under bonnet fuel pump, which is directly above, or water ingress? Do keep us informed when you have spliced in the loom from Roy cheers Arctic.
