Conclusion:
Picked up the car, fully working with two new tyres fitted. The Tyre garage tried to charge me for the tyres until I suggested it may be better for them if we call it quits so that I don't submit the invoice for the car rental. Got a reply from Tom BTW ... it's a bit of a trek, but nice price

This is why I avoid garage monkeys like the plague.
Any time my car has to go on ramps, I explicitly state that a) I will be present and watching, and b) it must be raised on all the jacking points, and if one of the pads is missing, then forget it. If anyone has a problem with the above two points, I politely tell them to forget it and leave. |
