V6 ENGINE TRAY is there an easy way to refit
I'm due to carry out an oil filter and oil change on my V6.As I'm forced to do it on ramps the most frustrating part of the job (from my point of view) is refitting the engine tray.
laying on my back trying to balance it on my knees etc and attempt to get the screws in and secure, really does do my head in. is there an easy way to fit the tray back in place,or even better as the drain plug plus filter is at the back of the engine is there any way I could partially remove, wedge it in place, and carry out the oil and filter change that way??(just a thought) Just in case of problems I do have a full set of quality replacements screws and clips.

Refitting undertray on my Tourer up on ramps I always slot the front edge of tray up where it sits on lip of the front bit of car then lift rear of undertray, fit rear most screws first and then work my way forward.
Helps having long arms but never had a problem refitting mine Paul |

I balance mine on a trolley jack, lift into position, & fit screws loosely until all in position, then tighten Mind you, I've changed all mine to 8mm screws and spire nuts, makes it easier then with a socket

I shove the tray under the car then lie down next to it so I can lift the front into place , then as above .
