![]() Hi,
It's been a long while since I lasted posted and I am going to be greedy by asking more than 1 question please. 1. Has anyone put a navigation system into their 75 dashboard ( not Tom Tom or Garmin)? If so may I have a peek and how much did it cost you ? 2. Has anyone recently had their cambelts changed and again how much did it cost you? I am looking for someone reliable and local to me in the Croydon area to do the job. I changed the cambelts well over 7 years ago( possibly 8 to 9 years ago). Ive not done the mileage since having them changed and I dont do more than 1500 to 2000 miles a year. I am reticent to change them because of the low mileage that I do. However I could come a cropper if I don't change them I guess. Your views would be nuch appreciated. Thanks in advance. Martin. |

![]() Last year I renewed the cambelt on our little Citroën. I did it according to the manufacturer's mileage interval for "severe" use which applies to this car. I ignored the time interval of 10 years. The car was 12 years old at the time. The belt which I removed was perfect. There was no visual evidence of wear or impending failure. It was indistinguishable from a new one. The MG Rover 6 year interval is simply based upon their customers' average annual mileage and the safe life of the belt: 90,000 divided by 15,000 p.a. = 6 years. There's no science involved at all! ![]() If that doesn't convince you, nothing will! ![]() Simon

![]() I'm sorry Simon but I have to disagree, just because the belt on your Citroen looked in good condition doesn't mean it was
