Swore at it several times after work as it kept stalling itself at idle (not new but getting worse), so came home and sprayed the MAP connector with electrical cleaner and waggled it about.

Really need to follow Brian's advice and solder in a new connector (and fingers crossed that does solve it!), but the weather has not been cooperative so far...

Swore at mine when the locking wheel nut slipped as I was trying to remove a front wheel to fit my winter tyre set. Sadly the ****** thing rounded a bit and I've been unable to get the wheel off and fit the winters.

Is it a number 12 locking bolt?

If so, you may be able to hammer in a hex key into the splines to remove the offending bolt, I used one of my drain plug keys when I did something similar on the wife's car

Evening Brian,
No it isn't. I did have those but I got a new genuine rover set from DMGRS which look something like a four leaf clover? Being a hoarder I had the packet with details on floating round for ages, now I can't find it

Ah, in that case I'm sure you can order one from McGard in Germany if you supply them with a quality photograph

Once you have removed them, file in the nearest dustbin

It was gripping on the clockwise direction but not anti-clockwise, it didn't help that all my wheel bolts have tightened over time.

As soon as they are out they will be deposited in the scrap bucket!

My wife is using the 75 this week so as soon as convenient, i want the winter tyres on for her sake, I'll take it to a tyre shop and ask them nicely to have a try at getting them off. I've got some spare 17mm bolts to use instead.

My Mk1 ZT had #12 type with splines and there were no problems. My Mk2 did have those "cloverleaf" things at some point as the socket is still in the boot but someone has changed them for an external spline type, which give more positive drive.

One thing I hate is garages using air guns on wheel nuts, what worse is when they then put a torque wrench on them to check - I'm sure they're 125Nm, but if they've done them up with an impact gun to something over that then of course the torque wrench is going to click.

i either use a brace, or i have a small battery impact gun for doing wheel nuts, I nip them up and then finally tighten with a torque wrench.

I use the wheel nut remover that is supplied with the car, if yours is still there. After tightening up the bolts on the wheels once, I thought I would see what the torque was on the torque wrench. I found that the torque that the supplie spanner exerted on the bolts was more or less the correct torque. I am around 13.5 stone in weight and used quite a bit of that weight to tighten the bolts up, so if you are around that weight, then the spanner is sufficient to apply the correct torque. No need for long steel tubes.

Gentlemen,

I just bought an ambient light set on Amazon! I always loved the red light we do have on the Rover 75. So why not extending that inside the car?

You can get these for 16 Euros:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, I love when the car smells good. But not with these non-classy hanging trees. No! I got myself this one:

It is with magnets and silicone. Very easy to open and refill the sponge.

Will let you know how the lighting looks when it arrives.

I have been on the website for the ambient lights and it says that it is not delivered to GB? Any ideas?
