Even if he does get the predictable "soft" punishment what he did is going to hang over him for the rest of his life.

You are right there Steve, his card is marked. His parents will say he was already out of control and there was nothing they could do. He might not fall under the label of mental illness, given that most arsonists carry out these acts for the buzz, in this instance sadism and to create chaos, for revenge, or to enjoy seeing the smoke, flames, fire engines or even become a participant in the rescue with no remorse or responsibility for what they have done. I am hoping that if the case is proven and he is convicted, that he gets sent to Rampton and remains there incarcerated for the rest of his days. Broadmoor and Rampton are miserable places. No floggings will stop him from doing this again. Animals and society needs to be protected from these monsters.

It does annoy me that a dogs home burns down and there are millions in donations and people cue to help, and kids and old people are abused and freeze in their homes and hardly an eyelid is battered by joe public....

Some times this world is completely upside down...

What are donations going to do to change that????

Totally irrelevant comparison tbh.

The things you talk about are going on because the people who can do something about it, turn a blind eye.

My point is not the money but the reaction.
I work in the food industry and it is an accepted truth that people generally feed their pets before they feed thier kids.

I do.

But that's cos I don't have any Kids

I have seen plenty pay the internet bill before feeding the kids though.

But that's the nation we've bred now, its shocking. And shameful.

And bear in mind, there is help at hand to feed ALL children in this country, but none to feed neglected animals.
