Default help wanted on rover engine

can any of you guys help me with an 03 plate rover 75 club se, it has a 1951cc 16valve petrol engine in it which i cannot find listed anywhere on the rover website . I was under the impression the 1951cc was a diesel engine and the 2.0l 75's had V6 engines . I f anyone could shed sum light on this or any technical data it would be gratefully apreciated.

many thanks in advance

the log book from DVLA says it is a 1951cc petrol engine ,when under the bonnet it is a 16V twincam engine ,although I cannot find any sign of spark plugs or HT leads and when checking fuel tank it is definately petrol in car. I will try to take some pics of the engime tomorrow when the light is better .

There are a few 75's out there with Fiat diesel engines as Rover were looking into this option when the company folded, although a diesel these were later models. They were also developing a 2.0 litre 'k' series engine but as far as i'm aware they only made a handfull of these, never heard of one getting as far as a car. yours is the same cc as the diesel, maybe dvla have made a mistake on the log book? How does your engine number start? Piccys would help determin more info

That's a 1.8 Engine. Not sure if it is a Turbo but definitely a 1.8. Here's another pic of a 1.8 in a 75 for comparison.
