fog lights and headlights washers
Hi friends,
My 75 bumper is a little damaged and it's time to replace it. So i've purchased a good condition bumper but like this is more recent , it came with fog lights and washers that the old didn't had ... The question is how can i connect those new features? Is it simple or better dismiss them? Thank's in advance for your opinions

If a MKII there are two types of harness you can use for the fog lights.
original fit, which incorporates fog lights, temperature sensor and I think indicators. upgrade, I think this incorporates temperature sensor and fog lights only. Is a bit more complicated to fit as you need to remove a wire from the engine bay fuse box and replace it with one from the harness. you also have to find an earth point you will also need to change the light switch and the unit it fits to in the car sorry I cant find the instruction leaflet at the moment macafee2 |

Check if the connector for your existing bumper loom has the Brown/Green cable in the car side of the connector and the connector matches the one on your replacement bumper. If it does, you will not need to make any changes to the wiring, just a relay and a lighting switch front incorporating the front foglight switch.

Regarding headlamp washers, your car may or may not have the wiring present, if it does there will be an extra plug hanging around near the washer bottle. If it is there then you will also need a BBUS and a ZCS recode of the car to tell it is has a BBUS and washer. If you connect a BBUS without a coding change, the alarm will just go off until the battery is flat. |
