chrome trim on rear windscreen hard to remove ?
Hi all think iv got a leaking rear windscreen as i saw a drop of water on the wireing just under the rear windscreen, so its higher up than the boot hinges,so all i can think of is its got to be the screen .
question is how hard is it to remove the chrome trim to reseal the rubber as rimmers is out of stock in case its damaged trying to remove it,anyone know who would stock this item apart from rimmers? |

The second one I did, I used a plastic trim removal tool and managed not to bend the chrome strip at all.
Just be slow and gentle, lots of patience and work on a couple of clips at a time so as not to bend it in one place. |

And our next daytime meet is on Sunday 18th November, there are always tools and experience on hand to get jobs like this one done. See here http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=127342 The location is the Hollow Tree pub in Stretton, just off the motorway, ample parking, great food and drink. No need to pay for my time, it's on the house, that is the whole point of the meets. We meet up and share our experience and hopefully help to keep a few more on the road. |
