Please help with towing electrics
I need help with towing electrics. I have sorted the 12n but the 12s i have run a heavy cable from the back to the front under the glove box. but cant find the wire for it.Anybody got any ideas please. also is there a way to disable the parking sensor.
i was told that there is a special loom for towing.

right there will be a orange and slate wire taped up under the dash.this is the feed from the engine fuse box.on some models however .depending on the year you will need a link lead kit to connect up.this enables you to connect the main feed to box i just mentioned and the fuse box under the glove box plus a wire to the lsm.this when all in place will turn off the reversing sensors when connected and also i belive tell if a light is out on the trailer or at least you have on the back least you forget

I expect Bmw E46 towing electric kit will do it. It disables the parking sensors & car fog light when a trailer is plugged in.

The problem is that the Rover or BMW kits are not cheap. I decided not to bother with mine as I don't intend to reverse very often with the trailer connected as I'm not very good at it, for the few times I will, I'll put up with the beeping.
