V8 - how practical as an only car?
Reading through all the threads there are plenty about prefering the diesel to petrol on the grounds that it's cheaper to run, fair point. And some of us prefer the sound and feel of the V6 and can (just) afford the car and the petrol, so the V6 is our every day car. Then there are those people who have the V8 as a fun, second classsic car to bring out on summer weekends and shows, complaining that it has high maintenance and running costs making it not a very practical everyday car.
So I'm just curious as to whether anyone regularly uses a V8 as their primary or only car? |

Hi.
With only an average of 2500-3500 per year in the car I'd jump at a V8. As the Rover version is Auto only I would love one. At £9 an hour its only a dream. How I wish the TV trade and my shop were still on the go, I didn't make a fortune but I was making decent money in 2001.

Don't forget some V8s are running on lpg which will make them cheaper to run that a V6 on petrol.

Thats the way to go, LPG for a V8,But after a diesel I couldnt live with the MPG even on LPG,There are some big distances to cover in France
