Vis Motor Tester?
Hi all,
Why does all the vis testers use a 9v battery? Why can't the tester run off the car's battery?

Even with a knackered vis motor the car battery can still spin it, i have seen some draw up to 7 amps on my power supply.
The correct current draw is around 60mA (?) which a 9v battery can supply easily, so if it works with a 9V battery its fine |

You could yes, if the motor is already knackered the chances are the track on the pcb has already burnt out so no further damage would take place.
