Good morning Derek, Steve, Mark, Freddie - there you are, I CAN get out of bed before 9.30am
Hope your cough clears up sufficiently for you to enjoy Christmas Day Derek
It's turned noticeably clearer and colder up here this morning. The forecast is for the temperature to continue dropping for the next couple of days - followed by the potential for a drop of the white stuff on Saturday.

I'm devoid of jobs for the day today - apart from cleaning the kitchen up every hour or so. SWMBO is on her usual Christms Eve - cooking and baking;
Apart from the smoked gammon joint for tomorrow teatime, everything else is home-made to ensure there is no gluten in it:
pigs in blankets; bread sauce; an egg & bacon flan so she has something to eat tomorrow teatime when the rest of us are guzzling wheat-filled grub; sponge roll for the base of her home-made sherry (or whatever else takes her fancy in the booze cabinet ) trifle.

Son and daughter-in-law are providing/cooking everything else - so at least the missus gets a rest tomorrow.

Just let it take as long as it needs Derek, don't want to take another step back.

"Aye" replied the woman "but I find the bin lids tend to rattle and the handles dig into my ribs!"
