Just back from the physio, man is my shoulder sore after all the heaving and twisting to find the limits of pain free movement.

Did they diagnose your problem Steve?

Soon I'll find repose

And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Hmm . . . . good news and bad news. I now know what's giving me all the grief but there's no quick fix. I had an xray but nobody thought to tell me the result! I have calcification of the rotator cuff with some evidence of tearing as well. Means sticking with the painkillers (and disturbed sleep!), physio to try to get more movement but ultimately I need an MRI scan to determine the extent of the problem. Depending on what they find, injections to try to break it up or surgery.

Dunno how I feel at the moment.

Well at least you know what the. Problem is, but any clue as to what caused the calcification?

Don't know Anthony, didn't see any point in asking the physiotherapist, not her field of expertise. I'll make an appointment to see the doc. One thing that's bothering me, it can be genetic, my mother was absolutely crippled with arthritis, I hope to God its not connected to that.
