Dry, sunny but very windy here, not Jeff windy either!

Heading down to the garage, see if I can suss out where to put the speaker for the parking sensors or more to the point, where I'm going to run the cable.

Where you want it and how long is the cable are the deciding factors (along with how much you can be bothered to pull things apart to run the cable)

That's it done. Frankly the cable is huge, control box is behind the OSR wheel arch, speaker is under the dash to the right of the steering wheel and there must be about 6' of cable spare, cable tied up next to the control box. Ran the cable under the carpet along the offside sill, wasn't as big a PITA as I thought it might be.

At least I will have a few days to concentrate on my own work, then next weekend off to Loughborough university for an open day. One of my daughter"s choices for next year. Still have to try and fit in Leeds and Edinburgj sometime too.

Evening Gents, my hourly rate of drops has come down drastically while I feel like this. Usually I'll do about 28 drops an hour, now I'm down to about 15 Which is just abysmal, hope I feel better soon because I don't get paid by the hour if you know what I mean.

Eh up lads - it's me. Hope you're all fighting fit and not sobbing too much over my absence since Sunday

I'm back, broadcasting to you from sunny Somerset (well, it could be Devon - I'm right on the border) - and it really is hot and sunny. Forecast for rest of the week is the same too.

Left home 10.00am Monday - 250 miles to Cirencester where we overnighted for 2 nights and then a further 125 miles today from Cirencester to Exmoor. The Rover behaved impeccably, and did the first 250 miles at 38.3 mpg - and that's with a 1450 kg caravan on the back (full tank to full tank measurement too!).
The site is smashing - loads of space for each pitch - I must have 30 feet plus of open grass in front of me before you reach the site road.
Free 2mbs broadband - and ANALOGUE TV
Photos to follow when I find where I packed the camera.

Just eaten half of a rather large pork pie, with baked beans and new potatoes - and am now getting myself around the outside of a bottle of 2013 Vina Maipo Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon
