Shopping done and took the hound for a walk during a break in the weather. Staying in now and making a cottage pie for tea

I am sick to death of this rain. I acccept that we have to have rain, and reasonable amounts too, but why oh why does it have to keep coming in non-stop 24 hour torrential downpours?
I've worn 3 mop heads out mopping up the garage floor - and we haven't finished for today yet

I'm popping in and out of the garage - sorry, swimming pool - on mopping duties, whilst SWMBO is sorting out pork chops, slow cooked in 1/2 a pint of South African cider and a couple of apples.
As an indication of the sophisticated lifestyle we lead in Yorkshire - I get to drink the spare half pint of cider

The ducks are raising themselves as the water gets deeper
