How much do you reckon my estimates will come in at ?

I couldn't even begin to hazard a guess at that amount of work Rod.

I know one thing the missus & myself both said we wished we'd left the backboiler alone and kept using that, Two condensing boilers have bit the dust here in 8 years & this new one needs re-pressurising every other week.

One of the plumbers quoting lives about 200 yards from me, and I've known him for 15 years. That may well have a major influence on my decision - as long as the price isn't silly. If owt goes wrong, I can easily walk down the road and knock on his door

It is Derek, but it's been planned for a while, so not too bad a shock - well, assuming the quotes don't give me a heart attack

The theory is that if the new system is much more efficient and cheaper to run - I might switch it on a bit more often next Winter
