Midges are bad enough but I remember fishing up on the Ardnamurchan peninsula a few years ago, got set upon by cleggs, blooody horrible things with a bite like a Rottweiler!

I thought the same George, never seen them this early before. Deffo midgies though, they appeared when the sun went in and the breeze dropped, I was kicking a ball around on the mossy lawn and must have woke them
