Morning Freddie, sounds like you have a good relationship with your garage

Picked my car up yesterday, serviced, mot'd and had a new rear wheel bearing/hub fitted

Completely out of the blue this but, there is a big country house just up the road from us and we know the housekeeper there. On Monday she sent me a text asking if I'd like a few hours work cutting grass, raking and general tidying. Yes please, I said so, been up there all week. Fabulous place to work and it turns out the guy who did the job previously has left in a huff so, fingers crossed, this could turn into a full on job

Thanks for the link Stu! Now, is that a small meet for 75/ZTs or a normal sized meet for Sir Alec's finest?
Hope this works out for you Paul.

Pops is getting a hair do this morning, mobile groomer should be here around ten. Her first clip, she badly needs it, put it off when she came in season then the groomer was on holiday.

Was not on much yesterday did a stupid thing decided to investigate why the rev counter did not work on the p6 .Traced the disconnected wires connected them to the coil BANG blew up the power module for the dizzy the coil and ballast resister .Reason I connected the wire wrong side of the coil oops.
By luck the garage that fixed my engine also designed the power amp.
So took a trip to see what they could do.They repaired for me while I waited
It blown a track off the circuit board and a transistor.
Cost nothing . Result.

Suggested I dump the 6volt coil and ballast resistor.

Dully done all back and working again.

Not the rev counter yet still looking.

Good morning Freddie you know what they say idle hands

No idea when I'll get the beast tarted up for Saturday (Scottish national), rain is lashing down and tomorrow is supposed to be no better. Forecast for Saturday is dry but I'm not getting up at 5am to clean a car!
