Nah, you should leave your shopping until late on the 24th.

It's just broken through over the hills here - mind you, it soon dips down behind them again at this time of the year.

No sign of any sun down here Rod and the temperature is dropping fast

Whinge time

Have we as a nation lost all sense of courtesy and decent behaviour?

Just been in Lidl -
  • stood to one side, to let people coming towards me get past what appeared to be a Mothers' Union meeting in the middle of an aisle; about 8 people walked past - not a 'thank you' from one of them.
  • A women decided she was going to abandon her trolley, crossways in the aisle, while she had a nosey at the cheese. Unable to get past her, I said 'excuse me' - and got a grunt in return which sounded suspiciously like some sort of "off"
  • A woman accompanied by 6 kids, all drinking bottles of pop - and one of them dropped their bottle all over the floor - leaving a dripping wet and dangerous pool of liquid. Did she ask a member of staff to mop it up - NO! - she told the kid to "just leave it" and carried on with her shopping.
  • Finally, someone had obviously changed their mind about what they'd bought - so abandoned a pound of sugar, a bottle of milk and a packet of frozen peas on the floor
Bah humbug to the lot of 'em

Evening all, the time has nearly arrived when I can get rid of some of the dead weight driving our vans, 5 accidents in the last month! 5!!!!!!! We haven't had that many in the last 3 years before this lot started driving for us!
