Morning All, looks like we could be in for another fine day here. No job's as such to do today so I may just chill and relax.

Good morning everyone,my thoughts this morning are with the families who lost loved ones or suffered injury's during yesterdays mindless attack on innocent people

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

So much for a fine start to the day, it's raining here now.

I agree, it wasn't a particularly good afternoon.

However, I always thought that saying 'good afternoon' or 'good morning' wasn't a statement of fact, but a greeting - an abbreviation of 'hello, might I wish that you have a good afternoon/morning', or similar, less flowery words?

Either way, our thoughts and prayers must go out to those directly affected yesterday.

Pretty miserable day up here too - not helped by the hand delivered letter we got last night.

Apparently, due to "damage to a nearby substation" - we're going to have no electricity from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday

The letter includes helpful (?) tips such as:
  1. "Before the power cut, warm up one room, and try to stay in it" - the loo is the smallest, so that'll do for me
  2. "Wrap up warm and keep a blanket to hand" - never thought of that one
  3. "Have a torch handy with batteries in it" - well I never, I didn't know you needed batteries in a torch
  4. "If the power doesn't come back on when expected, give us a call" - you can bet your sweet life I will
Wonder if I could get away with spending the whole day at the Club - it's lovely and warm in the snooker room and near the bar
