Good morning Phil, everything if fine here, hope you are well too. Look's like we could be in for some snow her over the net few day's. Do you fancy doing a weather swap?

Good morning Steve

I am glad to hear everything is okay where you are, apart from the snow heading your way. I can imagine the driving conditions would be quite challenging over the Brecons, the winding roads. I am seeing a chiropractor tomorrow and am fairly confident that he is going to click the disc back into place. I hate being laid up as I have things to do

Morning men - it ain't half cold up here this morning. No sign of snow, but it's freezing with enough breeze to knock the temperature even further down. Once I've finished the school run I'll be partaking of hot coffee with a dash of Capt. Morgan's Spiced Rum to warm me up.

Good morning Rod, Captain Morgan should do you nicely
I was wondering if I should ask a neighbour in London to pop into the house to put the heating on, what do you think?

I'd be surprised if it got all that cold in London - the North wind will have warmed up a bit by the time it gets that far South.

The neighbour is going in to read the electric and gas meters. Can I leave the heating off, Andy what do you think?

Our combi boiler has frost protection, switches itself on when the temperature drops below a certain level to prevent freezing and ice related damage. Not sure how reliable it is, it works in the background so not sure if it has ever activated. Never had a freezing related problem with it though so who knows.

Just thinking about snake bites: Is it the case that sucking out the venom is recommended ... as per the old cowboy movies?
