LOL the boiler had shut off with the error code E119, 'shortage of water in the system' topped the system up to 2 bar via the cold water valves underneath the boiler and jobs a good un.

Put new batteries in the phone & still nowt, that's been skimmed in the bin & new one ordered off ebay, should be quiet at least until that arrives.

Unbleievable! The girls were due a flea treatment, usually get it in Tesco, 3 x small dog treatment is £16.50. I was looking for something in Poundland for Ging the other day and noticed dog flea treatment, went in there today. Its the same manufacturer (Bob Martin), same brand name (Spot On), more basic packaging (blister pack rather than a box), treatment for the three girls cost two quid! Poundland sells single tubes for small dogs for a quid and double packs for larger dogs . . . . also just a quid. One single, one double for the three of them.

Evening all, been quite a nice day, should have been at work really but was still really tired after the marathon trip yesterday. Some might say I should be used to it being a part time coach driver, but difference is ,when doing long coach trips, you HAVE to take mandatory rest breaks, I had to get the hire car returned by 18:30 last night, so wasnt able to “take my time”.

Well - that was different! Various relatives bought me a variety of different ciders for Christmas, and as I was feeling a bit chirpier today, I thought I'd try one to accompany the home-made beef stew.
"Rhubarb and apple still cider" - a novel mix and taste - I drank it half an hour ago - and still haven't decided whether I like it or not

Evening all, It's been a murky grey day here. I've been for a test drive in one of these this afternoon at the local Kia dealers.

A 2018 Kia Niro hybrid compact SUV, WoW! very nice quiet & smooth. (I'm not used to new stuff lol) It's very weird coming to a stop & the petrol engine stops then moves away silently on electric power when you reach a certain speed the 1.6 petrol engine kicks in seamlessly & quiet again.

Roast chicken baked potato & broccoli for tea.

Did something different tonight. Got chicken kiev and mini roast potatoes for dinner, heated it in the oven, onto the plate, gonna enjoy this. Stuck a knife in the chicken kiev . . . . and got shot in the eye with a jet of herby garlic butter! Thankfully it wasn't all that hot but not an experience I'd recommend! The eye is still a wee bit sore and irritated but no damage done.
