Thank you Steve, Richard and my mates

Here is a thumbs up from me

A Nexium pump

Specialist says I have a bleeding Stomach Ulcer and awaiting biopsy results for H.pylori infection or malignancy. In the meantime I am on a Nexium pump which speeds up ulcer healing. He injected the bleeding points inside my stomach and he thinks he has managed to stop the bleeding. I am on a drip for rehydration, another for pain relief and nausea. He explained how the blood inside my digestive system from the ulcer, irritates the lining, the oxidation of the iron content is painful as it passes out of the body, hence its black road tar appearance. Despite all this, my vital signs are good and doing my best to take a spoon of positive thoughts now and again

Thank you for thinking of me, it does help.

Sounds horrible Phil, but at least you're getting all the right treatment and hopefully they'll have you back on your feet sooner rather than later

I've spent most of today booking holidays - nowt like a cold, windy day in February to make you think of longer, sunnier and warmer Summer days!
Up to now, I've booked a fortnight near Fakenham in Norfolk - here (recommended by W44NTY) - followed by the next fortnight in South Lincolnshire - here.

And to keep us going until then - just rented a country cottage here for a week in March

I didn't like to say anything!

A while ago I went back to hand rolling cigs, the effort makes you smoke less. I dug out an old rolling machine I've had for 30+ years, one where closing the tin actually rolls the cig. I was looking on Ebay for a tin to keep the tobacco in and found out the old rolling gizmos like the one I have are going for 30 quid upwards
