Had a bit of a spend-up too at the weekend in Lidl Dover, bought an endescope for £50! don't know why I bought it but it's brilliant, really clear image, I suppose it may come in handy should I lose something in the engine bay or can't quite see a bolt / fixing etc: really good bit of kit.
Also bought some spoiler windscreen wipers (made in Germany) if that counts for anything, six cans of Baufix spray silicone lube, four cans of all purpose penetrating oil, a shed load of cable ties, two rolls of gaffer tape, and a set of multi end socket spanners... each end has a swivel head with two sizes to each end, quite an invention me thinks and looks really well made (time 'n' use will tell) And lastly .... a very heavy stainless steel door stop! (not for the car of course). Had to convince the wife all these items were an absolute necessity and will undoubtedly improve our lives ten fold !! hahahah. The jury is out. Just can't go into either Lidl or Aldi without buying something, even if I don't really need it. I think in a previous life I may have been a Magpie. lol. BTW ... Aldi have 12v suction pumps for £15, complete with long tubing for doing an oil change etc: I had a good look and although it looked like a well made piece of kit I would rather drain the oil than use a suction pump tbh. I have had a battery charger for around 5/6 years now from Aldi. Very good.charges 6/12 volt batteries, right down to 1.7 amp hrs batteries. Maintenance charge also. Think I paid around £10.00.

Have their metal cutting chop saw which is quite good if not the last word in accuracy. Their welding helmet is good value for the price. |

The local Aldi is selling Activ Energy Li-Ion 20/40V battery chargers for £4.50, normally ~£15.
