Damn, glad everyone is alright, but that car is a write off in the insurers eyes.

Maybe so but we don't like to do that, parts are easily available.

The main thing is nobody is seriously injured.

Looks like it'll need a good used wing, bonnet, front bumper, Xenon headlamp, fog lamp, repeater flasher and a wheelarch liner. Once fitted, a geometry check (just to be sure ) then a couple days in a decent paintshop and it'll be good as new

Insurance companies seem to write them off for a stone chip nowadays...

Holy Moly ... kind of puts things into perspective really, I've just had a moan about my car receiving a tiny scuff and some paint chips today!
That looks like a fair old shunt.
The main thing is that you are ok and un-hurt.
Hope it can be repaired successfully.

There's a lot of oil in one of those pictures.

The main issue is, does the owner have the time and money to do without their car? If it's an only car maybe they can't afford to be off the road for a couple of weeks

I chatted to Max at the National at Eden Camp, pretty certain he has plenty of other lovely old British cars in his garage...

Dave, here are a couple of photos I took in April 2014 at the POL and at Gaydon. I deleted your personalised number plate details.

Perhaps the photos might be of use to Max.
