For no particular reason I put the probes of my insulation resistance tester in a tin of coppaslip and tested it at 1000v. The result was >299 Mohms. Thus it would seem not to be conductive, at least if the grease component has not been burnt off.

However I don’t use coppaslip on brakes, I use ceramic grease. I never use it on wheel bolts or nuts either. Its ok for exhaust fastenings.

I dont use Halfords anymore. They never have any tools I need in stock. I called every day for a month for a set of sky hooks and gave up.

Free range dripping of course, it's environmentally friendly and it'll smell like burgers every time you brake!

In answer to the last paragraph, you have to use high melting point grease.Any P+Q grade will do, and put plenty on the front brakes.
