Changed Willy's air and pollen filters which had done 40k miles. Needless to say they weren't a pretty sight...

Replaced broken key fob. Got replacement fob from ebay for £3.49

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fits-Rove...72.m2749.l2649

There's a youtube video that shows how to remove the blade, just be careful to make sure you're pulling the blade out in the right direction as you want to keep it in its plastic holder.

Looking at the photo below make sure you pull it to the left, effectively pivoting on the small insert, otherwise you'll pull the blade out of its holder,

Soldered the new microswitch to the board.

Wanted to try to keep them semi-original looking and was able to re-use the original Valeo back, this had the added advantage that we didn't have to try to remove the small transponder (?) in the corner of the back piece. Now have a spare back if needed.

Good news it works!

Other than faffing about taking injector readings and doing a leakback test, spent an hour or so yesterday polishing headlights with 3m kit.

Looking better...

They’re an improvement alright, but unfortunately, on the light in photo 3, (above the bulb on the RHS) there is either a defect in the lens material, or marking on the inside of the lens.
It just wouldn’t polish out, and at this moment in time, I don’t want to open up the headlight.☹️
Still, a vast improvement.

Washed the 75 today, dried it, didn't have time to wax it so stood back and admired for a few seconds then made a well earned cuppa.
Went outside to lock her up and .... the Dover 'Bin chickens' have cr***ed over the roof and drivers door .
Back out with the cleaning kit and do it all over again!

Hit something fast, furry and small deer/fox size this morning in a heavy downpour. Result is a broken bumper, foglight surround went flying and got to work to discover passenger side fog light and indicator just hanging!! new foglight surround ordered and will have to patch up the rest, indicator just popped back in.

Nothing done to my 75 today as I haven't owned one in 4 years, however I have had a browse around the cars for sale section sand been reinvigorated with 75 love.

Looking for a cheap run around and the 75 looks like it fits the ill again perfectly. Hope to rejoin you all as an owner soon. Had a 1.8T Petrol and a ZT190 in the past, looking for a V6 auto or maybe a 1.T again this time.

Hi,seems I've done the classic mistake, was low on fuel had enough for 80 miles, was going to the station to fill up when 40 yards from my drive it conked out, never had problems before but there is a downhill slope from my house so I presume the remaining fuel run to the furthest point from the pump.Would not restart so got 10 litres via fuel cans into it but still would not start, had to stop trying to start it as the battery went down,so battery now out and on charge overnight. Also got another 5 litres diesel to put in tomorrow. Its a 2001 diesel.
