I like the 75 coupe....now should it be in restoration as its a converted car that's the question I would ask if a losing team but saying that they all did a great job but I went with the Maestro brought back fond memories of youth.

If the 75 coupe was sold commercially I may have chosen one over the saloon. I saw a photoshop of a 75 convertable here which I think Rover also should have gone ahead with - it looks brilliant. Maybe Gerry could try his hand at one sometime...

A difficult decision tbh but went with the 75 coupe purely based on the amount of ingenuity and technical ability that had to go into that build.
Alright ... it wasn't a typical 'resto' project but given enough time based on what I have seen can happen with the 75 ... It would be eventually!!

Oooooh ... how 'Bentley-esq' is that ! Jaw dropping design, the 75 body shape really lends itself to that conversion imo. Hard top or convertible ... if that had been available when in production I'm pretty sure I would have signed on the dotted line.

Same for me...but with a tinge of guilt as with a relatively young car, which is modified rather than just restored, the challenges are a little different,

He has done a sterling job though!

Look at the BL goodness at Canley

I wonder who the pariah was with the VW Golf though

I worked with an old boy and he said they were thinking of only letting BL cars on site. He had a Renault and was adamant he wasnt going to change car and got really worked up about it!
I had the task of collecting brand new cars that were delivered around site. Some were wedged in between barriers, under electricity pylons etc anywhere you could park a car. The majority were 827 Vitesses with lovely leather but they were covered in the clear covers they left the factory with. Had the pleasure of sitting In Mrs Thatchers bullet proof car, Tony Ponds reworked Rover Vitesse, various project cars and it was just at the launch of the R200 and R400 in 1989. The press shop had loads of them being fettled and had extra sound proofing in them.
Oh and the ERA Mini turbo was being launched. Christ that went well for such a small car!
