Replaced tailgate gas struts. Removed rear door cards to adjust lock/stop rattling, and then gave her a quick wash.

More Hammerite and Dynax S50 applied to the upper rear suspension arm replacements. Heating first to eliminate all moisture, then trickling the S50 along the seams, welds and joints and spraying the insides with the 360 degree lance for full coverage. Hopefully, they may outlast yours truly when fitted!

Unplugged my cdt egr a week ago as I suspected it wasn't performing the way it should even after a thorough clean but haven't had the chance to drive it anywhere to see if it performed any better so ... left work today and decided to go for a blast (at legal speeds of course) over about 20 miles or so of mixed top gear pulls, standing starts, and full throttles in each gear.
Couldn't believe how much better it felt, much more responsive in the gears and much better in top gear pulls. Looking forward to a T4 session and eventually a re-map . Thanks to all on here for the advice previously given on the egr subject, worked an absolute treat. |

I spent half the day sorting out some Manifolds, what a nasty dirty job, but they work really well once cleaned out five overall, leave them for a day or two and give them another good jet washing out

Jumped in the ZTT after work and drove to York to collect my refurbished Gridspokes and boy do they look Good! Getting the tyres fitted tomorrow and then on the car.

replaced a rear wheel bearing (with a FAG) and replaced the front exhaust section due to a split flexi section...... was surprised to see it was still the original one considering its done over 250,000 miles

There wasn't any!!! These (original) arms are off a Portugese car and a check with my endoscope proved them to be totally rust free inside and out, end to end! Winner!!!

New Clutch fitted @ Lates - no more left leg workouts
Was expecting it to take a lot longer than 2 hours.. In again next week for lower engine mount.. |
