Rimmers this week. Hopefully the delivery goes well and the parts are to your liking. I saw the specialist this afternoon and the virus has gone inside the eyeball. Sight is a bit messed up and can’t drive.....Treatment is steroid and antibiotics eye drops firstly on the eye ball, then anti virus ointment to the eye ball and inside the eye lid 15 minutes later. Continue this every 4 hours for 2 weeks. Last night the bridge connecting the top front teeth fell out, so it is the dentist on Monday. If the eye does not improve, I will get a second opinion. Spent about three hours trimming the ivy on the garden wall, about 9 or 10 feet high. Since I had all the bother with my shoulder swinging heavy things around (like the hedge trimmer) is uncomfortable to say the least. Depending how sore I am tomorrow I'll do the holly tree and other couple of bushes.

Evening all, I’ve just soldered Debs airbag connector, hopefully that will keep the light out!

Evenin’ all.
Lazy day for me today. Cooked a nice chicken curry and rice all washed down with nice drop of Jammy Red Roo by “Yellow Tail”, red wine. Using up the contents of the wine cellar, less to move.

Evening all, well after a nice sunny start it went greyer than fifty shades of grey on a grey day & much cooler than yesterday to the extent my missus has had the central heating on since mid afternoon.
Roast chicken thighs & baked potatoes for tea.

No good! I couldn't resist! I said I wasn't going to buy any more for a while but Train Sim World are having a Spring sale & the Northern Trans-Pennine Manchester-Leeds was just too tempting at 30% off, the graphics on this game are just out of this world.

Class 45, used to get them a lot on the north-south freights, they were like riding a bucking bronco, bouncy as hell. Got a lap full of hot tea on one once! I was still a 2nd man, coming back from Newcastle, made a pot of tea for the driver and myself as we approached Berwick, hit a dip in the rail just north of Berwick, came out of the dip everything bounced up, loco, me, cup and contents; loco came down again as did I, cup came down but the contents remained airborne until it landed in my lap. Mad scramble to get out of the seat before something vital got scalded

Today - Up until now, I managed not to take anything for the pain since 5 a.m. The eye specialist is confident the new treatment will hit the virus down, but he said it could take 2 months to work......I thought to myself “when will all this end”. Health care here is all private, no NHS. This means it’s not difficult to see a specialist or to get an appointment and no cancellations. Tomorrow and on Sunday, the eye will get 4 treatments each day. The treatment peaks at 1.5 hours after the drops have been instilled, so by Sunday evening, I am hoping the swelling will go down and I will be able to see out. Don’t worry if I don’t post up much. Apart from the eyesight and the head, everything is hunky dory’s lol Have a great day driving the locomotives, what fun |
