Default Heated seat wiring

I have recently found that my seats have the wiring for the heated elements, what is involved in getting power to them, I don't have the seat switches so I will need to get them as we'll.

Please read the thread again, I need cables from the switches (Which I do not have) to the plugs under the seat and cables from a fuse source to the backs of the switches, Oh! almost forgot I will also need the face plate in which to fix the switches in this is Rhodium Grey???.

Just jumping in for a minute ...
Is it possible, for example, to remove the heating element from a cloth seat and easily fit it to a leather one?

The wires from the plugs under the seat disappear into the seat pads, so I am presuming the heater elements are already there.
Once again I need the cables from the switches to the plugs under the seats, and cables from a power source to the switches????

I've been looking into this myself as I'll be fitting heated seats to my ZT soon. This is what I've found below from threats on here and the other forums.

When wiring the heated seat switches, it's best to get the original plug and about 6-7 inches of wire from a doner car for the switch as it makes wiring easier.

Seats
If your seats are already heated, you should have a yellow cable in Pin 1 and a Orange/White cable in Pin 2 in the wiring loom under the seats. These two cables are for the heated seat elements.

Pin 1 Yellow cable goes to Pin 1 on the heated seat switch
Pin 2 is a live cable and you'll need a 20AMP feed from the fuse box.

Heated Seat Switch:

These are the pins I have in my heated seats switch plugs:

Pin 1 is the yellow cable which goes from the under seat plug as stated above
Pin 2 Orange/White cable is a live feed circuit - you can tap into the same wire in one of your other switches in that panel i.e. Cruise control, rear blind, traction control etc.
Pin 3 Red/White is needs to be connected to the sidelight circuit. Just tap into the same wire connected to one of your other switches.
Pin 4 - Blank
Pin 5 Black is the ground cable, just connect it to an earth point.

And that's it.

Theres a thread on the heated seat switches here:

Hope this helps,
Rick
