drive shafts auto and manual are they the same ?

Hi all can someone tell me if the near side short drive shaft for a cdti facelift 2005 manual is the same as the n/s auto, I bought the manual near side short drive shaft when I had a manual car , now I'm driving an auto, if not I may as well sell it on here and get some money back regards john
